Come Butterfly with Me
A few weekends ago I decided an adventure was called for, and since my friend Luci had raved about visiting the Butterflies at the Natural History Museum, I dragged the boyfriend off to see what all the fuss was about! We booked tickets online before so we could jump the queue once we got there...
We wandered through the rather humid tent fascinated by the butterflies - these photos don't do justice to how big some of them are!
Some of them looked a little tired, they had clearly been busy avoiding the troupe of chatty and excited Brownies that followed us into the tent!
The butterflies are free to fly all over the tent and its fascinating to watch them flutter and dance past, flashing all their wonderful colours as they go...
We spent a good while trying to spot all the different varieties...
Towards the end you will come across this table, you'll see from the fruit how big the butterflies are - unbelievable!
And as you leave, you get checked for stowaways!
You can book a visit on the Natural History Museum Website and the exhibition is open until September so you still have plenty of time if you fancy going. I enjoyed my visit, but it did only take us about 20 mins to go through the exhibition, so perhaps go on your way somewhere else!
