Hi.

Welcome to my blog. I document my adventures in colour, food, patterns and travel. Hope you enjoy!

Ice Ice Baby

Ice Ice Baby

During the heat wave, everything was too hot! On Thursday's in my local town we have a wonderful market, fruit, veg, cheese, meat, everything you can ever think of including giant granny knickers! (not kidding!).

Well last week on one of these adventures I picked up a ton of fresh fruit and having invited some friends round for supper I thought I'd try something fun, snazzy ice cubes!

You can put anything into them, I've even seen people drop in rose buds, but I had something a little more yummy planned! I gathered together the fresh berries, some cucumber and mint leaves as well as the customary lemon and lime.

Chop up your fruit if you like, it will need to fit into an ice tray!

How delicious do these strawberries look...

Scatter a selection of your fruit and mint leaves into each of the compartments of the ice tray and fill with water. Then pop it in the freezer for 12 hours, or until you need them!

They come out looking pretty spectacular.

Perfect for summery cocktails, and the best bit, you can eat the fruit after.
