Dubai - 2nd Adventure
As promised this is my second Dubai post. Although I was out there for just over 2 weeks and we did some amazing things I didn't take a huge amount of blog worthy photos, sorry. But in the second week the bf's parents took us on an adventure to Global Village, and there I took some photos, so enjoy.
Global Village is a cross between a farmers market and a theme park, it's mental. We drove about half an hour into the desert to this massive site, which tons of countries set up semi permeant villages of stands of their national goods.
The first village we walked into was India...
After India we wandered into Yemen, I was promised an amazing spread and it didn't disappoint. The one thing that I missed taking photos of, was all the honey, did you know Yemen has the best honey in the world?
We wondered around a few more villages, and into China. There was a ton of fake stuff and random toys, ones that made really really annoying noises, but we avoided those and wondered around taking in all the amazing stuff there was.
These slippers really tickled my fancy! Shame they didn't make them in my size. Finally we wondered into Africa, where they had a little bit of everything from toy cars made out of bottle tops to salad servers, but it was these beautiful bags that caught my eye.
If you're ever in Dubai between November to April it's well worth a visit. It's off the beaten track of most tourists and if you fancy a bargin or just a browse it's a great way to spend an evening.
